Regional Stakeholder Group meeting
On the 20.07.2023, between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM, RDA SW Oltenia hosted the first meeting of the Regional Stakeholder Group meeting under UrbanCOOP project, at the headquarters in Craiova. The working group was settled to promote an active framework of dialogue, leading to a better governance of urban development strategies at the level of the territory addressed by the project.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the local public authorities from the urban environment of the South-West Oltenia region, namely Craiova, Târgu Jiu, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Drobeta Turnu Severin and Slatina county seats municipalities, and Motru and Caracal municipality.
RDA SW Oltenia's project team offered information about the implementation of the UrbanCOOP project at the level of the South-West Oltenia Region - general objective, specific objectives, expected results, implementation calendar, presentation of the addressed policy instrument - Priority 7 "Sustainable territorial development" of the Regional Programme SW Oltenia 2021-2027, with emphasis on the importance of establishing the Working Group and the active participation of regional actors in the project.
The meeting benefited from an interactive exchange of knowledge and methodologies between the participants. The representatives of the Târgu Jiu Municipality shared their own model of urban governance for the Integrated Urban Development Strategy of Târgu Jiu Municipality 2021-2027 with the members of the PWG, as good practice.
