YESVolunteer: Kick-off Meeting in France
The YESVolunteer project, which is funded by INTERREG Europe, had its kick-off meeting on 18-20 June in Bobigny, France, hosted by the County of Seine-Saint-Denis. The project seeks to enhance youth development, across six European regions, by expanding access to enriched volunteering opportunities fostering personal and professional growth.
During the kick-off meeting representatives from the County of Seine-Saint-Denis from France, the Anci Liguria from Italy, the Riga Planning Region from Latvia, the Municipality of Lugoj from Romania, the Kielce City hall from Poland, the Region of the Western Greece and KMOP Policy Center ASBL came together under a shared mission: to boost young people’s personal and professional growth.
The meeting served as a catalyst for robust discussions on the primary challenges encountered by young individuals residing within the participating regions and on the volunteering opportunities provided. Partners fervently collaborated, setting the groundwork for innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and inclusiveness of these instruments.
Additionally, during a constructive study visit, partners had the opportunity to explore the mobility schemes managed by the Youth Division of Montreuil Municipality, located in Seine-Saint-Denis, central France.
