Senior Care: CARES Partners Cooperate for Progress
On September 18, 2024, the partners of the CARES project gathered online to discuss on policy updates, sharing best practices, and planning for upcoming initiatives for senior care.
Policy Progress and Best Practices
Each partner provided an update on how their region is in the process of changing or improving policy instruments. While many are still working on refining these updates, valuable insights were shared from other regions’ best practices. More details will be presented in future reports as these efforts continue to develop.
Reporting and Milestones
The Lead Partner reminded everyone that the third phase of reporting is underway and emphasized the importance of timely submissions to maintain project momentum.
Denmark Study Visit: A Key Opportunity
An exciting upcoming event is the study visit to Denmark, scheduled for November 13-14, 2024. This visit will offer partners a chance to explore Denmark’s healthcare system and learn about their e-health innovations. Partners were encouraged to actively participate and prepare any questions for the experts.
Current Discussions and Future Plans
Key issues raised during the meeting included:
- Tutoring Session No. 2: Scheduled for January 2025, it will focus on how e-health can improve seniors’ well-being, especially in rural areas.
- Good Practices Table: Partners are reviewing updated best practices to help improve regional policy instruments.
- Next Meetings: The next PCT meetings are set for October and December 2024, with a special session during the November study visit.
