Project summary
CARES (Remote Health for Silver Europe) is an interregional project under the Interreg Europe program, involving 8 regions of the European Union. The main focus of the project is telecare and telemedicine, which involves remote monitoring of health and life functions, primarily aimed at the elderly, the ill, and individuals with limitations who often have limited access to doctors, quick diagnostics, or medical consultations. The main goal of the project's activities is to make care and medical services more accessible and effective especially for these people who needs special support. Telecare cannot replace the presence of a caregiver, but it significantly enhances the quality of life for older or dependent individuals, helping to build their sense of security and independence.
During the 4 years of implementation, the CARES project will enable the collection and analysis, with the participation of experts, of dozens of best practices (mainly European) in the field of e-health. The result will be the systematic integration of these solutions into major regional projects or development strategies and programs, in conjunction with project funding for local governments.
