CEI BOOST project focus has been promoted in Bucharest

During Black Sea Common Maritime Agenda Stakeholder Conference 2023 – Joining efforts for a sustainable, modern and competitive blue economy in the Black Sea in Bucharest representatives of two partners involved - IRCEM, Romania, and Business Agency, Bulgaria, have had the chance to discuss with interested participants across Black sea the ambitions of CEI BOOST. Simina Lakatos and Silvia Stumpf have presented the efforts of the large partnership to find the best solutions across 9 countries to stimulate the flourishing of digital innovations that support the implementation of circular economy measures. New possible partnerships have been discussed with participants from non EU countries from the Black sea basin to further capitalise the achievements of the project. Silvia Stumpf, as a panelist in the conference panel dedicated to boosting innovation, spoke about the CEI BOOST approach at enhancing policies conditions in 9 countries for boosting the application of emerging digital innovations to support the growth of circular economy at regional, local or national level, gathering expertise from different regions, different levels' policymakers and leading innovation ecosystems' actors. The presentation was followed by a discussion on the needs for specific amendment of the planned measures for more blue skills in line with the presented approach.

The Black Sea Common Maritime Agenda Stakeholder Conference 2023 is set to take place on 22-23 November in Bucharest, under the auspices of the CMA Romanian coordination.

It sets out to be a pivotal event for all stakeholders interested in the region's sustainable blue economy development and competitiveness. The conference aims to bring together voices from various sectors, backgrounds, and experiences to address crucial challenges and opportunities in the Black Sea basin. From the marine environment to investment, entrepreneurship, and skills, join us for 2 days of talks and activities providing a platform for knowledge sharing and collaborative efforts towards unleashing the full potential of the Black Sea sustainable blue economy.
