The first CIBUS Interregional Meeting in Sofia, June 2024

The first interregional meeting of the project ”CIBUS - Cutting food loss and waste in Europe” brings together 9 partners from 8 EU regions and will include exchange session on the first day and study visits on the second day. In the exchange session a seminar will be organized, looking at the EU policy context, ongoing initiatives and research. The aim is to dive into an initial, 360° exchange on key topics such as:

• Factors contributing to food loss/waste across production/supply chain;
• Levels of innovation related to measures for food loss/waste prevention;
• Policy, practical, financial and capacity/skill needs.

The heart of the seminar is a discussion on the recommendations of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste.
