Next stop, Slovenia: COMMIT’s Seminar in Velenje!
COMMIT’s first two-day seminar will take place in the Savinja-Šalek region, hosted by COMMIT partners KSSENA and RA SAŠA this Tuesday and Wednesday (17 and 18 September)! Here, COMMIT partners from other regions, stakeholders, and policymakers will come together to discuss the low-carbon transition, focusing on this semester’s central theme - strategy design.
The event will present findings from COMMIT’s first briefing paper, including a comparative analysis of various regions’ strategies to support SMEs in transitioning to a low-carbon economy. Then, to address prominent challenges that SMEs face, such as financial constraints, high investment barriers, and a shortage of skilled workers, attendees will share case studies, best practices, and hands-on examples of innovative financial support schemes. Conversations will also cover key topics including improving ESG efforts, navigating administrative structures and regulations, and adopting green solutions.
