DeepTechValleys in a nutshell:
DeepTechValleys is a pioneering project driving Deep Tech Innovation across the European Union. A 10-partner consortium, led by the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia, Greece, has joined forces to launch "DeepTechValleys," an ambitious project aimed at improving 9 regional policies to boost deep tech innovation.
Overall aim:
The overall aim is to transform the regions into deep tech innovation valleys, well-connected and capable of driving sustainable economic growth, job creation, and social progress.
By fostering transnational cooperation, the goal is to enable participating regions to leverage their deep tech potential and enhance regional competitiveness and cohesion fully.
About the project's scope:
Deep tech innovation is a priority in the EU strategic agenda, recognized for its potential to drive economic growth, create jobs, and address global challenges.
Deep tech refers to cutting-edge technologies and scientific advancements, capable of revolutionizing industries and improving the quality of life for millions. Despite its significant potential, regions across the EU often struggles to fully harness it, due to challenges in accessing resources, networks, and support structures. DeepTechValleys aims at providing answers to these challenges.
Consortium:
The project brings together regions with diverse deep tech performance levels and will facilitate knowledge exchange, capacity building, and resource-sharing, while identifying best practices, learning from one another, and developing tailored strategies for the deep tech ecosystems' improvement.
