Moldova joins the DIGITALIZE project!

Rîșcani District of Chisinau, Moldova joins the DIGITALIZE project!

We are pleased to announce that a new partner, Rîșcani District of Chisinau, Moldova – locally known as Pretura Sectorului Rîșcani – has officially joined the DIGITALIZE project.

The inclusion of Rîșcani District Hall in the DIGITALIZE project was made possible by the restricted call for proposals, which gave the occasion to Interreg Europe-approved projects to extend their partnership to EU candidate countries. On the other hand, the call provided an important opportunity for these organisations to join existing projects and benefit from interregional cooperation. Hévíz, as Lead Partner, initiated the involvement of Rîșcani District as a Discovery Partner in the DIGITALIZE project.

The role of a Discovery Partner is more flexible, as its main focus is to become familiar with the interregional exchange of experiences, a key component of Interreg Europe, thus enabling it to build capacity not only in the thematic area addressed by the project but also in the management of interregional cooperation initiatives.

As a Discovery Partner, Rîșcani District is fully integrated into the project's activities, participating in knowledge transfer, observing good practices, and exploring how to adapt successful policies and strategies to their own regional context. They will actively participate in project events, workshops, and study visits, ensuring a hands-on learning experience that can be applied locally. For the project consortium, the involvement of the new partner also provides some benefits. It means gaining new insights and understanding from a region with a growing tourism sector and rich cultural heritage. Rîșcani District Hall has been actively involved in several previous tourism-related initiatives, as it is very committed to fostering tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting environmentally friendly practices, such as various digital solutions. This experience may also bring valuable insights to the DIGITALIZE project.

We are confident that the involvement of Rîșcani District as a Discovery Partner brings valuable contributions to the DIGITALIZE project. We look forward to working together to foster digital innovation and strengthen the European tourism industry through collaborative learning and cooperation.
