CIM Região de Coimbra hosts the 1st meeting of the RSG

On June 9, the 1st meeting of the group of regional stakeholders selected to support the GOCORE project took place at the CIM Região de Coimbra´s headquarters.

This meeting was a key moment and a unique opportunity to bring together some of the stakeholders with a preponderant and active role in the development and implementation of the regional policy, namely regarding the decision-making on the demographic challenges that the Coimbra region faces.

The participation of CIM Região de Coimbra in this project aims at promoting the improvement of the national funding program, PO Centro 2030, through the support of new projects to be submitted, especially in the framework of the regional Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI),  taking into account the recommendations / good practices shared by GOCORE partners.

The meeting included the presentation of the GOCORE project and the role of CIM Região de Coimbra as a project partner, as well as questions related to the implementation of the project, tasks to be developed and the main policies to be implemented in order to boost Pinhal Interior Territory.
The meeting was attended by representatives of CIM Região de Coimbra and PO Centro 2030, representatives of  CIMs that integrate Pinhal Interior - CIM Beira Baixa, CIM Médio Tejo and CIM Leiria - and also the coordinator of the IIBT Pinhal Interior Operationalization Structure.

The project is already underway and the group of regional stakeholders will play a leading role in monitoring the work developed and collaborating in the project´s activities.
