Hajdú-Bihar County Government Regional Stakeholders Group

The participants of the expert meeting held on 6 June 2023 included the municipalities of the county, experts in spatial and urban development, university researchers, representatives of the agricultural sector, business development institutions, civil society organisations and experts in the field of municipal management.
It provided an opportunity to discuss issues related to the project's thematic areas in the county and in a broader context in Hungary, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities of community development, voluntary organisations, digitalisation and climate adaptation.

The needs for community self-management, strengthening of internal cohesion, volunteering, community funding, digital maturity, and effective sensitisation were explored, and the solutions and good practices already implemented in the county (community gardens, target group-oriented events) were reviewed.

Following the technical discussion, the participants agreed that the GOCORE project would continue to focus on the issue of creating the conditions and strengthening the opportunities for community cohesion, particularly to address the challenges of digital literacy and climate change.
