Blue-green infrastructure for resilient cities III
The webinar aimed to inspire on how to increase public participation in blue and green infrastructure projects by sharing practical examples.
Thomas Schneider from the City of Ingolstadt introduced the principle of hybrid participation formats to involve citizens, followed by the good practices from the Municipality of Reggio Emilia (Italy) on Public participation for blue green infrastructure and the Municipality Riga City Council (Latvia) on Gardens of ‘Sports Palace’.
The City of Roeselare contributed for the Interrevita project by introducing its good practice ‘Small budget actions to mobilize citizens in climate adaptation’. The approach and lessons learned were discussed for 4 different actions: façade gardens, Behaag Roeselare, love tree action and the neighbourhood challenges.
