On the 5th of March, Aufbauwerk Leipzig facilitated the second stakeholder group with Associated Policy Authority (APA) from Northern Saxony. The meeting focused on the end user survey, which needs a close collaboration with the APA to be as valuable as possible.

As an introduction to the meeting, Aufbauwerk Leipzig showed the new project video which got positive feedback. Participants then discussed the general needs in the district of Northern Saxony as well as possible connections to the MaaSolutions project. An important aspect of the discussion was the need to improve connectivity, for existing PT options and for existing digital solutions, e.g. through data pooling.

Attendees then discussed the goals of the stakeholder questionnaire and shared the online version with the participants. The survey aims to find out the assessment for MaaS according to regional stakeholders. The survey will be distributed to relevant stakeholders in the region through both the APA as well as Aufbauwerk.

The main discussion concerned the End-User-Survey in Northern Saxony to understand the districts’ needs, wishes and goals. The district already facilitated multiple surveys and would like to combine existing data with the end-user survey to fill in gaps and reach a more comprehensive analysis. In Northern Saxony, it will be important to conduct the survey in person as history shows that online participation is very low. Thus, the APA proposes to focus on specific places, such as the hot spots around the S-Bahn in Schkeuditz and Taucha, as well as direct questioning on the FLEXA buses. Especially, the focus on FLEXA will be important to impact the PI in this project. Additionally, it would be helpful to be able to combine the survey results with existing frameworks such as the SrV, the system of representative traffic surveys, which is a standard in Germany.

Participants ended the meeting with an outlook to the learning event in Hungary to which both representatives of the district of Northern Saxony will join and bring in their valuable expertise.

Participants:

Christian Hoyas (LRA Nordsachsen), Matthias Koss (LRA Nordsachsen), Roman Hillebrand (Aufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH), Fredericke Weiner (Aufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH)
