Identifying Best Practices in Open Data in Seville
The OD4GROWTH project is pleased to announce a key stage in its ongoing efforts to identify and promote best practices in Open Data across participating territories. This phase involves a series of technical visits, with the first one scheduled for Seville, Spain, on May 21st and 22nd, 2024.
During this visit, the project team will engage in a comprehensive assessment of initiatives proposed by the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP). Specifically, the focus will be on the practices implemented by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA) and the Smart Tourism Office of the Seville City Council. These initiatives have been nominated as potential candidates for designation as OD4GROWTH best practices. The event agenda also includes an Exchange knowledge activity, which aims to understand and select the proposal of good practices in relation to the three dimensions addressed by the project:
- Improving the quantity and quality availability of OD, mainly by public institutions
- Improving the OD processing action to increase the quality standards of public services addressed to citizens in different field.
- Improving the OD process to trigger businesses and entrepreneurship with new products and services.
The OD4GROWTH project team looks forward to a productive exchange of knowledge with stakeholders in Seville. This collaborative approach will be instrumental in identifying and promoting best practices that can inspire and empower other territories to harness the transformative power of Open Data.
