OD: Collaborative Insights and Strategic Planning in Silute
Past January 30th and 31st, 2024, partners and experts of OD4GROWTH convened in Silute, Lithuania, hosted by the local partner, to foster an exchange of insights and information regarding the utilization of Open Data to enhance public services. Silute municipality seized this occasion to elucidate how even a small community can recognize the inherent value in leveraging Open Data for this purpose. Concurrently, partners contributed local strategies on the same subject matter to enrich the discussion. The workshop provided a valuable platform to glean insights into how various European countries are addressing the delivery of services to both citizens and businesses, showcasing how Open Data can elevate their quality and efficacy.
Throughout the gathering, partners collectively shared their respective local practices pertaining to Open Data and the provision of public services, initiating a process to identify exemplary practices. Employing predefined criteria for selection, approximately 10 such practices were earmarked for potential publication on the Interreg Europe website. Subsequent efforts will involve refining these practices, gathering additional data, and subsequently seeking approval from the Policy Officer, anticipated around May 2024.
The meeting served as an exceptional opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and fortifying collaborative bonds. Additionally, partners deliberated on the project's progress and commenced planning activities for the forthcoming third semester.
