In February, our second project study visit occurred in the Blekinge Region, expertly organized by our Swedish partner Energikontor SYD, where we discovered a landscape full of good practices in the use of renewable energy sources.

🌬️ Blekinge Offshore's wind farm project, the permit application submitted in February 2024, aims to double Blekinge's electricity production, with a key challenge being military approval.

💡 Blekinge Vindkraft (BV), founded in 2000, owns and operates turbines in Blekinge, highlighting collective ownership.

🏭 Upgraded with an Organic Rankine Cycle system, Gullberna Heat Plant now also produces electricity, reducing CO2 emissions.

☀️ Karlskrona Solpark, a former landfill transformed into a solar park, harnesses clean energy, revitalizing once-polluted land.

Each project partner explored Swedish expertise alongside their respective stakeholders. The advisory partner organized multiple working groups and peer reviews for all participants, culminating in a steering committee exclusively for project partners at the conclusion of the study visit.

Stay tuned for more updates as we have plenty of exciting news to share!
