On June 28, 2023 the First Workshop of the Podlaskie Stakeholders Group of the SKYLA project took place, during which representatives of business, education and administration shared their experiences, opinions and ideas on the topic of vocational education and training system (VET) in the field of twin transformation. The meeting took place at the partner's headquarters, i.e. at the Marshal's Office of the Podlaskie Voivodship in Białystok, Poland.

An important element of the SKYLA partnership project, determining its effects, is cooperation at the local level with Stakeholders. The opinions and comments of Stakeholders collected during such meetings and workshops will allow further exchange of knowledge with SKYLA project partners. In the next stages of the project, this will contribute to the development of solutions and implementation of changes in the program European Funds for Podlaskie 2021-2027.

The Podlaskie Stakeholder Group of the SKYLA project includes, among others, members of the Vocational Education Task Force created on the initiative of the Working Group on Specialization of the Regional Economy. This distinguished group of representatives of Podlaskie entrepreneurs, labor market institutions, education, universities, NGOs and the Managing Authority of the program European Funds for Podlaskie 2021-2027 will be an extremely valuable substantive support to the SKYLA project.

In the First Workshop, among 17 team members invited,  10 attended the meeting. The workshop was led by Mrs. Grażyna Szajstek, Head of the Unit of European Territorial Cooperation of the Marshal's Office of the Podlaskie Voivodship. During the workshop participants shared their experience and opinions pointing out positive examples, solutions and good practices, as well as barriers, needs and challenges of the VET system regarding the twin transformation in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The workshop was held in the form of a round table, during which each participant had the opportunity to speak. All the collected statements will help to create a list of needs and identify the potential of the VET system concerning the twin transformation in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
