This document analyses slow travel in Europe, together with initiatives and good practices to support the partners of the SLOWDOWN project. The aim is to improve regional policies to encourage more sustainable tourism, reduce environmental impact and strengthen local economies. Faced with challenges such as overtourism and the underuse of lesser-known destinations, SLOWDOWN promotes a balanced and responsible tourism model.
