First stakeholders meeting held in Rimini!
On 11 October, the Municipality of Rimini organised its first stakeholders meeting, with over 40 participants, mostly teen agers representing the future mobility.
SPOTLOG was presented and several key topics were faced:
- Environmental sustainability in tourism expansion: finding ways to further develop Rimini as a tourist destination without compromising the coastal and marine environment;
- Wellbeing of citizens and tourists: improve the quality of life of Rimini residents and guarantee a satisfying experience for tourists
- Promote sustainable mobility and ecological delivery: Encourage the adoption of delivery methods based on electric mobility and bicycles to reduce transport-related pollution and improve tourist logistics (cycle logistics). Micro consolidation hubs with diverse approaches and business models for different territories and touristic areas. Overview of zero carbon logistic modes. Incentivizing multistakeholder collaboration among logistics and mobility operators to share facilities and vehicles.
The discussion focused on the expected effects that are linked to the change in stakeholder’s habits by offering them sustainable alternatives way for last mile delivery.
