New stakeholders meeting in Mechelen!

The city of Mechelen started since the signing of the covenant on sustainable city logistics in September 2020, with the organisation of a zero emission working group. It enables the City of Mechelen to engage in structural consultation with the logistics sector, traders and interest groups.

The objective is to meet at least twice a year and more if necessary, in order to create a solid logistics network. The main scope of the working group is to inform each other, consult together and come to concrete decisions. 

In this context, on the 25th of May 2024, the city of Mechelen organised the 9° edition of the zero emission working group within focusing on SPOTLOG. 

Several stakeholders were involved in the meeting:  the Belgian CycleLogistics Federation (BCLF); Colruyt Group, discussing on the electrification of the fleet; DHL, focusing on sustainability strategy; VIL, explaining the Logibat tool.
