2nd RSG Meeting at Lea Artibai Foundation

As in the first semester, going forward with the project, during November and December LEA ARTIBAI have held three Stakeholders Meetings with the different stakeholders:

• Team 1: Municipalities of Lea Artibai Region December 13, 2023 Presential. 11 people.
• Team 2: Tourism Industry of Lea Artibai Region November 28, 2023 Presential. 12 people.
• Team 3: Regions of Bizkaia November 27, 2023, presential. 6 people.

A total of 29 people attended the meetings.

As introduction the main objectives, project partners, budget, HD methodology, the policy instrument addressed, the expected policy improvement and the role of the stakeholders in the project were shown.

It was decided during the first meeting that the stakeholders will participate in the field visits, in order to develop our tourism strategy in the correct way. In this second semester, Durangaldea Tourism destination and one tourism company joined Lea Artibai to Molise Region in December.

At the same time, the stakeholders were informed that Lea Artibai is going to held the next field visit in February 2024. It is expected for all to have an active participation hosting the event and sharing our good practices.  

As in the first semester stakeholders have also remarked the importance for Lea Artibai region of participating in European Interreg projects like this, not only to improve the policy instrument, but also to show our commitment to sustainability. For this reason, they suggest that the entire process be well communicated, to involve all citizens.

In short, all the participants have shown great interest in the project and have committed to participate and collaborate throughout the process. Very positive expectations have been raised in relation to the study visit in February 2024.
