Exploring Europe’s Industrial Transformation

On 6–7 November 2024, the Policy Learning Platform hosted an engaging two-day event in Bilbao, Spain, bringing together public authorities and Interreg Europe project partners to chart Europe’s path toward industrial transformation.

Participants explored key topics driving this transformation:

• Policies for Industrial Transition: As Europe’s industrial landscape evolves, discussions focused on navigating three key factors—digitalization, the green transition, and resilience.
• Research Valorisation in Regional Innovation Ecosystems: highlighting the power of collaboration between industry and academia

With insights from experts and peers, attendees gained a deeper understanding of strategies aligning industrial transformation with the European Commission’s Green Deal Industrial Plan.

Dr. Beata Kviatek, UNLOCK Advisory Lead Partner at the Expertise Centre of Energy (ENTRANCE/HANZE), participated in the event. She emphasized that the insights from these sessions will be shared with the UNLOCK Green Hydrogen Economy consortium, an Interreg Europe project led by the ENTRANCE Centre of Expertise Energy at Hanze.
