On the 26th of February 2024, a thematic meeting was held in Palazzo Guerrieri, Brindisi as part of the UNLOCK project. The focus of this event was the regional hydrogen policy.

The meeting was jointly organized by UNLOCK Italian partners the Department of Economic Development in the Puglia Region and the Energy Transition Section and National Technological District on Energy (DiTNE). It  brought together key regional stakeholders, including ARTI (Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation of Puglia), the Southern Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Confindustria Brindisi, CNA Brindisi, ASI Consortium Brindisi, the Brindisi Order of Engineers, A2A, and Comes Spa.

The objective of the meeting was to foster constructive dialogue among local stakeholders to jointly identify the most effective tools and policies to support the green hydrogen value chain in Puglia, in order to develop a resilient, sustainable hydrogen ecosystem that can drive economic growth and job creation. During the event, DiTNE presented the UNLOCK project, explaining its objectives and opportunities and underlining the importance of sharing experiences and best practices from other European regions.

The event served as an opportunity to strengthen networks, dialogue, and collaboration among regional policymakers in the field of hydrogen, laying the groundwork for future strategic initiatives aimed at positioning Puglia as a leader in the green energy transition in Europe.
