The first Local Living Lab in Croatia was organised on the 20th of July -  in the morning - in the premises of the Student Center in Dubrovnik.

Here the projectkey stakeholders were introduced to the GREENHEALTH project, its objectives and activities.

The pilot area of the project - the park-forest Velika and Mala Petka was introduced from the point of view of biodiversity and health benefits for visitors. The Velika and Mala Petka is the only park-forest in the narrower city area and is among the last complete green areas in the territory. It was chosen because of its significant value in terms of landscape, biological, educational, social and health aspects.

Participants included representatives from:

  • The Public Institution for Management of Protected Natural Areas of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County (GREENHEALTH partner organising the event);
  • Dubrovnik-Neretva County
  • Centar za poduzetništvo (centre for entrepreneurship)
  • Regional Development Agency of the Dubrovnik Neretva Region – DUNEA
  • City of Dubrovnik
  • Dubrovnik Development Agency - DURA
  • Croatian Forests
  • Institute for Spatial Planning of Dubrovnik-Neretva County
  • Institute for Public Health of Dubrovnik-Neretva County

The exchange of knowledge, experiences and expectations of the participants shared at the workshop will greatly contribute to the development of this project.

The stakeholders are to be engaged in the development of the regional and SWOT analysis of the project.
