The presentation highlighted the intersection of community involvement and renewable energy initiatives. We explored various aspects of citizen engagement, emphasizing the importance of understanding local perceptions and the need for innovative approaches to foster the social appropriation of renewable energy projects.
Our analysis covered methodologies ranging from stakeholder engagement and policy analysis to participatory workshops aimed at identifying barriers and enablers in the adoption of renewable energies. Additionally, we presented a series of examples highlighting innovative community-led projects, demonstrating the potential for local actions to influence broader energy policies.
This presentation underscored APESA's commitment to bridging the gap between technical solutions and societal acceptance, emphasizing the critical role of social sciences in achieving sustainable energy transitions. Through our work, we aim to inspire policymakers, practitioners, and communities to collaborate more closely in designing and implementing energy projects that are not only environmentally sustainable but also socially inclusive and empowering.
