Varna Stakeholders Group: Second Meeting

The Regional Stakeholders Group convened for the second time in Varna, Bulgaria, hosted by RAPIV for the SIreNERGY project on February 20, 2024.

Thirteen representatives from local authorities, research, and business support organizations participated.

The meeting focused on sharing best practices in engaging civil society in renewable energy projects, drawing insights from Blekinge, Sweden. Discussions also addressed existing practices in Varna and areas for enhancement.

Key challenges identified included the absence of a regulatory framework for energy communities and communication hurdles with civil society.
