Deirdre Byrne

Dr Deirdre Byrne is qualitative mixed methods researcher interest in health, society and sustainable tourism. Her Irish Research Council funded doctorate explored food in residential care settings centring on the sociologies of food, childhood and home. Deirdre has also lectured in research methods and health & society. She is currently a Staff Researcher with the Department of Business and Social Science at ATU Sligo and has been successful in several EU funding applications.
