Gaja Trbižan

High School in the centre of Ljubljana has no school yard or open space of its own, so the teachers and students decided to design a terrace garden.

From being a city dominated by car transport the focus of Ljubljana is now on public transport, pedestrian and cycling networks and new green spaces.

Šmartinski Park used to be an illegal allotment gardens area cut by a road and a main power line. Today it is a green park with playground for local community.
