Beskid Festival of Good Energy
About this good practice
The Beskid Festival of Good Energy has been organized for many years by the Energy Management Office in Bielsko-Biała. In an atmosphere of fun and interesting workshops, conducted by students of Bielsko educational institutions, participants learn difficult issues in an accessible way. The festival is divided into blocks for preschoolers, elementary school students, secondary school students and adult residents, so that the workshops are adapted to the age of the participants. The first festival was held on October 21-22, 2011. It was an event of European importance, as it took place almost simultaneously in 12 EU countries implementing the ENGAGE campaign aimed at engaging the inhabitants of the commune in activities for energy conservation and climate protection. It was the culmination of the annual activities of the Energy Management Office of the Municipal Office in Bielsko-Biała, which acquired 300 Climate Ambassadors, including athletes, musicians, actors, officials, business owners, cultural institutions, the elderly, the young, teenagers and children. Each of the ambassadors is featured on an individual poster with their specific commitment to energy saving and climate protection. All Bielsko-Biała educational institutions are invited to actively participate in the festival.
