Energy-saving system in the kindergarten in Rogów

Rogów is a developing town with a constant increase in the number of new residents, especially young people with small children. Since 2009, the number of places provided by the kindergarten has been insufficient, so the idea of building a new kindergarten was born. The commune authorities decided to build a new, energy-efficient and ecological building of the kindergarten.

Heating will be provided by means of heat pumps and ground heat exchangers, which will significantly reduce its operating costs. Thermal comfort is achieved with seasonal heat consumption for heating of 15 kWh/(m2 x year). The building can accommodate 150 children. The innovative facility with a usable area of over 1200 square metres includes, among others, the following facilities 6 kindergarten rooms, a recreation room with a mobile wall allowing to enlarge the room, a modern kitchen meeting high standards, a teachers' room and administration rooms. Among the innovative solutions are mechanical ventilation, floor heating controlled individually in each room, the Solar Cool system - a solar collector working in the cooling system of the air conditioning system. In accordance with the idea of passive construction, kindergarten rooms are located in the southern part of the building so as to enable good illumination of the interiors with natural light. This allows to minimize the cost of energy.

The recipients of the practice are young residents of the municipality (families with small children).
