This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
Since the first opening as a museum in 1950's, Casa Avramide has faced many transformations, but what realy shaped its identity within the community, happened only after 2012's rehabilitation and conservation works. Tulcea was lacking a cohesive cultural ground and "Casa Avramide" filled this place. What is remarkable is “Casa Avramide's” capacity to bring togheter all sorts of activities, mainly cultural, evoking the municipality’s need for culture and artistic acts. The place hosts each year a series of different festivals (jazz, folk), kids here can attend workshops (painting, poetry, acting), youngsters enjoy the bohemian atmosphere, where private local entrepreneurs may sell their products, sometimes homemade, a coup of tea in the accompaniment of good music or while an art exhibition takes place. Both activites, economical(mostly private) and cultural, are intertwined. There has been created a context in which culture becomes accessible to everyone without being too pretentious. The clients, guests or visitors consist of local inhabitants, foreign or national tourists, private or public organization that require the venue for activities related to culture.
The managing team has the independence to make its own administrative decisions following an internal regulation, but the budget for running the premise is approved by Tulcea County Council's decision.
