Introduced "Door-to -Sorting center" textile waste collection service on demand : In Sofia, Bulgaria, Textile waste collection company Texaid Ltd introduced "Door-to -Sorting center" textile collection service during COVID -19 outbreaks: the service include collection of disposable clothes in large quantities ( min. 10 - 20 shopping bags) from the addresses of persons who have previously requested this service. The textile waste was collected in front/outside of the apartment/household premises , from where it was taken by a team member of the waste collection company Texaid Ltd and transported to the „Sorting center“. There is no direct contact between the waste generator and the support team of the company that collects the textile wastes.

This good practice bring added high value, because from an ecological and health protection point of view, textile waste continues to be collected and treated with limited or no healthy risk during the Covid-19 outbreaks. High social effect, as the waste generator does not have to look for opportunities for regulated disposal of large quantities of waste. The collected clothes are clean and sorted, in some cases divided by type of textile, which favors their further treatment and disposal.
