Desire to evaluate energy use and be environmentally friendly lead company to order energy- and resource audit. As suggestions made in audit were interesting and relevant to have more environmentally friendly production and because of audit it was possible to reach for grant, company decided to implement these suggestions.

Resources needed
127500 € for total investment. Grant 60000 € (inc 6000 € for audit) by Ministry of Rural Affairs’s measure “support for energy and resource efficiency” from European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF). Energy efficiency and resource audit was prerequisite for investment aid.
Evidence of success
Fraction of renewables consumed will increase from zero to about 5% or 68 MWh that decrease CO2 emissions by 50 tons (by Estonian power grid emissions factor 2019). Electricity produced by PV panels is consumed in facility and by electric forklifts, it is estimated that approximately 1/6 of electric forklifts energy consumption is covered by renewables. 3300 litres of gasoline consumption or 7 tons of CO2 is prevented if replacing old forklift for electric forklift.
Potential for learning or transfer
All warehouses, anywhere where forklifts are needed.
