About this good practice
The 90K Camino de la Cruz is a multidimensional initiative that took
advantage of the celebration of the Holy Year of Caravaca de la Cruz in
2017 to establish an annual activity that allows participants to acquire
personal and social development values associated with sport in full
nature and to know the history of the Caravaca Cross as a cultural
symbol that has stimulated pilgrimages since the Middle Ages,
promoting, in addition, the practice of sport in a natural environment and
promoting its ludic use.
The main beneficiaries of this race is the general public since it has
several modalities suitable for the ages and modalities of realization, not
only race, but also walking and in scooter.
The cost of the 2018 edition was € 30 for federated and € 35 for general
public.

Evidence of success
The way to measure their success is not measurable since it is based
on the opinions of the participants in relation to the test and the
organization of the test. It can be said that the 2018 edition was
successful because it generated a greater media impact and the
participants and employers expressed their satisfaction with the
organization and development of the event, despite the fact that the
number of participants was less than the first year.

Potential for learning or transfer
This practice was born in 2017 and is willing to last over time, so it is
expected to be an event that consolidates over time.
It is also an easily exportable practice to other regions and / or
Greenways since the equation Tourism + Sport = Success is fulfilled, in
which, from the point of view of the tourist promotion, the use of the
Greenway is promoted through of the realization of sport and
respecting sustainability and helping to preserve the natural and
cultural heritage related to it.
