About the project
The energy transition has allowed many European citizens to equip their houses and neighbourhoods with renewable energy sources. But not everyone has the required knowledge, level of education or financial means to implement renewable energy sources into their homes. This proposal takes as its starting point this rather large group of European citizens that need to be assisted and supported in making the transition to renewable energy sources. The goal of this project is to provide local authorities with a framework that is easily applicable and introduces local hybrid cooperative models to tackle the above-mentioned issues. These hybrid cooperative models create and facilitate small and local cooperatives, which means they operate on a neighbourhood level. Local initiatives have a higher success rate and are thus an integral part of the cooperative model.
