New posibilities for electric & electronic field in Navarra
On June 27th 2024, Government of Navarra, partner of the WEEEWaste project, hosted the 3rd Local Stakeholder Seminar. There were 17 attendees including key representatives of private companies, research centres and public institutions involved in the field of collection, handling and processing of e-waste in Navarra.
The seminar started with a presentation of the study carried out by Consumidores Irache concerning the current behavioural change in consumption. It shows that citizens are more concerned about the environment and believe it is necessary to take measures against climate change. Some data related to the use of electric and electronic equipment was presented and discussed, highlighting that the new Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) will help consumers when deciding which goods to buy.
Then, the results of the study presented in the previous meeting by the Technology Centre Lurederra were shown, emphasizing that new business models could be implemented in the regions with regards to e-waste in relation to critical raw materials.
The meeting continued with the presentation of all the good practices collected by other project partners and a discussion with the attendees to see what could be replicated in Navarra.
Finaly, the agenda of the Interregional Event 4 that will be held on 16-17 October 2024 in Navarra was commented and new ideas came to be included in the study visits for project partners.
