Creating a more social Europe means implementing the European pillar of social rights by supporting effective and inclusive employment, education, skills, social inclusion and equal access to healthcare, culture and tourism.

Our programme helps local, regional and national governments across Europe to develop and deliver better regional development policies in this field.

We create opportunities for sharing solutions to regional development issues, for exchanging good practices and for policy learning via our two pillars: our interregional cooperation projects and our Policy Learning Platform.

Labour market and employment

To enhance the effectiveness and inclusiveness of labour markets and access to quality employment through developing social infrastructure and promoting social economy.

To improve access to inclusive and quality services in education, training and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training;

Social inclusion

To promote the socioeconomic inclusion of marginalised communities, low income households and disadvantaged groups, including people with special needs, through integrated actions, including housing and social services.
