This section provides information about the control system and national guidance set up in Albania for the 2021-2027 programming period.

The costs associated with this control are indicated so that they can be planned for in your project's budget.

Albania uses a centralised control system.

State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination will not charge costs for control for Albanian partners involved in an Interreg Europe project.

On-the-spot checks should always be conducted in the cases of expenditures reported for investments, works or equipment contracts. Nonetheless one on-the-spot verification during the lifetime of a project should be conducted (around the middle of the project implementation period), regardless of the type of the activities/expenditures incurred.
