National and Kapodistrian University Of Athens

We are the E-learning Programme at the Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, operational since 2001 and offering a wide range of courses and professional certifications (currently over 400). 

More than 100 senior academics and experts are contributing to the programme. Courses are offered in Greek and English. We use innovative learning techniques and a user friendly platform adapted to international standards of Distance Learning Principles.

We already contribute to the development of skills eco-system(s) at a local - regional level with a focus on the green economy, digital transformation, social inclusion, and stimulation of entrepreneurship.

Our Programme is accustomed to respond to the rapid changes in the labor market needs (Greek economic crisis, global meltdown, pandemic recovery) by creating and anticipating the specialisations needed by the market. We already have functioning tools to anticipate and optimally match-make. 

We have a strong link with the business sphere and have developed a sustainable business - education model from which other VET partners can benefit.

However, we aim to enlarge and deepen cooperation with all the stakeholders in the “Knowledge triangle” by making VET more proactive and also more flexible and rapid - in reaction and adaptability - to local and regional/global crises. 

No transition to a green or a digital economy can be completed without equipping inviduals and organisations with the right skills.
