Општина Брвеница/Komuna e Brvenices

Brvenica is a rural municipality and borders the municipalities of Tetovo, Bogovinje, Zhelino, Gostivar, Vrapchishte and Makedonski Brod. The river Vardar passes through the municipality. Along the river Vardar, important geographical forms in the municipality are the Polog Valley and the mountain Suva Gora, which extends throughout the municipality. Part of the Lake Kozjak is also within this municipality. The municipality is home to ten villages with nearly 14,000 residents.
