About the organisation

The WDC promotes social and economic development in the Western Region, advises on regional impact issues while influencing and promoting government policy directed at improving social and economic standards. It manages the WDC Investment Fund, which provides loans and equity to businesses and local communities. WDC work is outlined in current  ‘Work Smarter, Live Better’ strategy built on 3 pillars: regional promotion; regional leadership; and sustainable enterprise.
