About this good practice
- ASEKOL is active in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and since January 2024 in Germany.
- It ensures the collection, transport and recycling of end-of-life electrical appliances, including the financing of the entire system.
- Close cooperation with towns and villages, last sellers and service centeres, collection companies and processors of electrical and electronic equipment.
- More than 17,000 collection points available of these, almost 4,000 are red containers. The red containers is specific instrument of ASEKOL for e-waste collection. This this way of collecting e-waste is already in the awareness of the general public.
- In 2023, it recovered 61,828 tonnes of end-of-life electrical appliances
So far, ASEKOL is the only one in the Czech Republic demonstrably meeting the EU quotas for the collection of electrical and electronic waste.
- It employs more than 1000 people with disabilities.
