This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
In an average household in Hungary today, according to 2018 data, the net amount of food thrown away per person is 33 kg per year. And in Europe, 200 million people could live well from junk food alone for a year.
The idea was already articulated in her when she worked in Germany: there were already a number of stores and chains opened in 2013 where they do not use unnecessary packaging to sell goods, but mainly ignore plastic.
It has everything you may need on a daily basis, and the offer is constantly expanding according to customer needs. You can also find out about the promotions on the store's Facebook page. Tea, coffee, flour, sugar, nuts, poppy seeds, sweets, spices, cold pressed oils, pastas, soaps, toothpastes, face creams, eco-friendly packaging from linen and curtains, to name just a few important items from the full range.
In addition to packaging waste, the small shop also helps reduce food waste because we can buy as much of everything as we need.
The potential for waste reduction is particularly noticeable in spices.
