CIRCULÉIRE
About this good practice
CIRCULÉIRE's aim is to help Ireland's journey to achieve the ambitious targets laid out by the EU Green Deal. By actively promoting waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable practices across all sectors, CIRCULÉIRE directly contributes to the Green Deal's core aim of transitioning Europe to a climate-neutral, circular economy.
The platform tackles Green Deal challenges head-on by fostering the innovation needed to decouple economic growth from resource use, a key Green Deal objective. It supports projects that implement circular principles, from eco-design to closed-loop systems. Additionally, it facilitates the collaborative approach needed to transform complex value chains and create systemic change, as envisioned by the Green Deal. By connecting businesses, organizations, and research institutions, CIRCULÉIRE helps overcome financial and knowledge barriers that can hinder circular economy adoption, particularly for SMEs. It provides funding, technical assistance, and expert networks. CIRCULÉIRE's educational programs and policy advocacy work directly contribute to creating the societal and regulatory environment necessary for a successful circular economy transition, a key pillar of the Green Deal.
CIRCULÉIRE's diverse stakeholders, including SMEs, MNCs, government agencies, and the EIT Climate-KIC, reflect the cross-sector collaboration vital for achieving the Green Deal's transformative vision.
