Resources needed
City Hub is a private company, founded in a couple of cities in The Netherlands. In Roermond the company is runned by 5-10 employees.
Evidence of success
This Good Practice focuses on the transport of goods. The outcome is a decrease of large motorised vehicles in the city centre, an increase of air-quality and an improved distribution network for retailers.
Potential for learning or transfer
City Hub provides an innovative way of distribution in city centres with use of low carbon e-vehicles instead of ‘traditional’ ways of distribution with motorised trucks and cars. Smart organisation and planning reduces the amount of individual car traffic in the city centre.
