On 1 January 2025, Poland became the head of the EU Presidency for the next six months. The Polish Presidency 2025 set out to strengthen Europe's security in all its dimensions: external, internal, information, economic, energy, food, and health. You can read more about the priorities at the Presidency's website.

In the Presidency's spirit of cooperation, let's have a look at how institutions from Poland work together with others in the Interreg Europe projects and the Policy Learning Platform activities.

Poland cooperates

Poland is one of the large EU member states with over 20 years experience in cooperation. It joined the European Union in 2004. The country's involvement in the interregional cooperation projects and policy learning is inspiring.

With the calls for project proposals over, Poland has:

  • 138 project partners sharing their experience and transferring new ideas from other corners of Europe to their regions in Poland
  • 118 of the 263 approved Interreg Europe projects have Polish partner organisations
  • 10 projects have a Polish lead partner

The cooperation interests of Polish project partners reach across all topics covered by our programme.

You can click through the carousel below to see some of the 118 projects with Polish partners. So far, only 68 projects approved in the first two calls are available. Projects from the third call will have their websites ready later this year.

    Policy learning in Poland

Polish organisations take an active part in the policy-learning activities organised by Interreg Europe's Policy Learning Platform. They benefit from the knowledge sharing and networking at thematic webinars and workshops, share their good practices and do not hesitate to reach out for expert support when looking for solutions to their regional development challenges.

    • You can read eight reports from the peer reviews and matchmaking delivered by the Platform's expert team for Polish institutions.
    • You can also explore the latest good practices from Poland in the carousel below. Have a look at all 145 of them in our good practice database.
