This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
“School of Aristotle”, known as the place where Aristotle taught the ideals of Platonic philosophy to Alexander the Great, every spring is visited mostly by students who learn history and local cultural traditions, through interactive activities, such as painting, role-playing games and educational games. The volunteers’ group ‘Kissos’, the Imathia Ephorate of Antiquities and the Municipality of Naoussa implements a programme called “A Walk in Nymphaio of Mieza”, which aims in the active participation of students in the learning process. It includes:
1. historical narrations in the Cultural Center of “School of Aristotle”
2. Participation in interactive educational activities and role playing games at the archaeological site of “School of Aristotle”
3. Creation of souvenirs with paper or glass inspired by Aristotle's quotes.
Main goals are:
a. Visitors to experience history and culture through creative ways i.e by making their own souvenirs, and to disseminate this experience in other groups
b. To promote the ‘School of Aristotle’ and the wider area as a developing CCT destination
c. To introduce co-creation in sectors where active participation of people is not so popular, such as in education
d. To attract visitors in the region, who are interested in history and local cultural heritage and the promotion of CCT
e. To involve more local CCIs, such as local crafts workshops, the public library, the folklore museum, local performers, musicians and artists

Evidence of success
The historical site of the school of Aristotle was unknown the previous years. The last 6 years that the programme is being implemented, more people, other than students became aware of the School of Aristotle and the activities that are taken place in the wider area of Naoussa.
The students’ hand-made souvenirs became ‘promotional materials’, having as a result the visitors to increase. It is estimated that in 2014, 500 people visited the School, while in 2020 the visitors were 7.000.

Potential for learning or transfer
Education and Culture in Naoussa's Master Plan is under the same Specific Objective. Education is strongly linked to culture and creativity.
The programme “A Walk in Nymphaio of Mieza”, constitutes a national good practice in Greece on how an educational activity contributed in the increase of visitors in the Naoussa area, presented also in a conference held by the Western Macedonia University.
The programme create links among the education, tourism and cultural sectors. It is based on the good cooperation among stakeholders of these sectors. Educational activities related to cultural heritage sites and history can involve visitors into creative activities. They can lead to the involvement of local CCIs, such as museums, libraries, local performers, artists and thus in the creation of a new tourism product.
The Programme can be an inspiration for the creation of tourism products based on the cultural heritage and history and by involving relevant CCIs.
