About this good practice
The services for the autonomy of people have the mission of promoting the quality of life of people in situations of fragility or moderate dependence and their family caregivers and support network as individuals and as members of a community, improving their physical and emotional well-being through activities that foster personal autonomy, interpersonal relationships, learning, satisfaction with one's life and with the tasks of caring and being cared for.
The target group of this practice is:
1. Caregivers of dependent persons who receive an economic benefit from the family environment and those caregivers who request it.
2. Caregivers of their relatives in a situation of dependency or frail elderly people.

Evidence of success
Caregivers who have participated in the activity have better accepted their role in 66% and 64% take more care. The most valued activity has been sharing the situation with other people, also sharing with people who live similar situations and have positively assessed the group climate.
Potential for learning or transfer
It is an intervention of low intensity and high impact on the lives of people who return to live an active social life avoiding isolation.
The CuidArte Program has been extended by numerous regions, carried out by its own staff, offering sociotherapeutic care to caregivers around them.
