Educational Itineraries along the Metropolitan South-West Milan Waterways System
About this good practice
The territories of the Altomilanese, the South Milan Agricultural Park, the Ticino Park and the local parks of the west Milan, because of their environmental, historical and cultural peculiarities, are presented as a group of places where water, agriculture , naturalistic areas and historical monuments represent an educational and tourist resource yet to be explored. This great heritage is an important resource and a source of cultural, economic and occupational wealth for the development in the tourist fruition sector. The lack of an adequate structure and services able to deal systematically and continuously in the tourism-environmental sector has led the Consortium to formulate a concrete proposal aimed at promoting our territory.
The Consortium is responsible for the organization of tourist itineraries that allow even more in-depth knowledge of the territory through a visit to the excellences that characterize it combined with the experience of navigating the Naviglio Grande. The purpose of the itineraries is to offer thousands of people who visit our territory every year, a quality paid product able to meet all their expectations and needs.
School institutions of all levels, Italian and foreign, summer camps for youngsters, recreational centers are the main stakeholder and benificiaries of this practice.
