About this good practice
Baltic Filter JSC is the biggest manufacturer of automotive filters in the region, growing and expanding year on year since 1992. They are the owners of the MFilter trademark, a brand recognised and accepted in more than 65 countries worldwide.
With the introduction of eco-friendly products in the global automotive industry, there has been a need for eco-filters. In order to be more competitive in the market, expanding the range and adapting to today's innovations and existing customers, the company has developed and patented a prototype eco filter, but over time it has been noticed that the application of this eco filter to large cars has also attracted a lot of interest.
The company lacked the financial resources to start mass production of filters suitable to large cars, so the decision was made to invest in high-impact technologies, which would enable mass production of eco-filters. As a result, company acquired new high-impact technologies. To do so, company used state financial support through financial measure “DPT pramonei LT” under the Lithuanian Operational Programme. Under this instrument, funded activities include costs of acquisition or financial leasing of HIT, directly related to project activities and wages of employees who will work with installed HITs. To receive the funding, projects are selected using the competition method, while the form of financing is non-repayable subsidy
